Terraced farming in parvati valley.

the good news is, the spiders keep the rat population under control.
We spent a very nervous first night here.

Our guesthouse in Kulga, not to be confused with
the similar town of Pulga downhill, or Kalga uphill.

Classic Indian ingenuity. The standard type of toilet in india is the squat toilet. However, some silly westerners seem to prefer the western-style toilet. The solution: a hybrid squat/western toilet. Of course, the unfortunate result is that it's too high and dangerous to try to squat on, yet it's too disgusting to sit on. This disadvantages of both, with the positive qualities of neither.
Genius.
